John launched educational podcasting in Virginia with the advent of TechnologyTimes Live, a podcast focused on education and technology best practices in September of 2005—when podcasting was less than a year old.

Podcasts?

Podcasting is a buzzword, that symbolizes citizen broadcasting, Apple’s now iconic MP3 player, the iPod, and an emerging technology in the field of education. Podcasting simply put is a new medium for grabbing and enjoying multimedia content (MP3, videos, PDF) on your computer, or on the go, that anyone can publish. John’s early foray into podcasting began with classical music reviews on his website, biberfan.org. Soon thereafter, he began the practice in Goochland County Public Schools and has now presented on the integration of this practice to educators across the country through presentations, podcasts, and through blogging.
