This weekend I bought new headphones (the in-ear type, by Ultimate Ears) because…

• I cannot find my original iPhone headphones,
• My Etymotic headphones don’t fit the jack on my first-gen iPhone,
• I misplace headphones, and wanted an extra pair.

The other reason, frankly, is because I always end up with the things in knots.
