iPhone + iPod

Thanks to a very caring person in my life, while I was stuck at the Atlanta airport with plane delays and gate re-assignments, my 8 GB iPhone was acquired from AT&T Friday evening. I downloaded iTunes 7.3 at 2 AM Saturday morning when I got home, and then activated the phone at around 9AM on Saturday.

I plugged it in… and started up iTunes. The process was simply elegant, from putting in data into iTunes, to the quick activation (it took less than 5 minutes to have an active phone). Unlike what many media outlets are reporting “iTunes/iPhone woes!” my experience went very well.

I see a lot of potential for the technology behind iPhone. I wish I had a bigger, square version (let’s say 10″) to sit on my table so I could finger-surf during a meal. Some day… either MS or Apple will have this, I am sure… from iPhone or the MS Surface project.
