Might I recommend another teacher’s blog for inspiration? Sure!
I really like the passion that comes through in a trio of social studies blogs I recently found. I’m linking to World History, but you’ll find there links to US History and US Government.
This is the place I’d want to go for new resources, insight, and just taking-in some of the experiences of someone else who teaches my subject area. But wait… we’re putting a lot of homework, etc., in our blogs.
Your blog is what you make of it. Some of us love to share and create and make content available. Others like to borrow, be inspired, etc. But if there was one area we could improve in, as a school division when it comes to blogging, is to not only blog for our parents, but one another in the profession.
I am going to talk about this (again) this year at EdTech in February at Randolph-Macon College. Check out the version I did this summer for ITRTs.
